About the position
The Key Holder position at Boot Barn is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service and support within the retail environment. Key Holders are responsible for engaging with customers, leading store partners, and driving sales while embodying the company's mission and values. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to fostering a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Foster a service and selling culture; exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
- Become an expert in product categories and communicate product knowledge to customers.
- Maintain and achieve measurable goals, including units per transaction (UPT) and average dollar per transaction (ADT).
- Stay informed about current merchandise promotions and advertisements.
- Maintain company merchandising standards and assist in floor moves and display maintenance.
- Assist with processing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
- Accurately complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountability at POS registers.
- Seek new ways to develop skills and improve metrics by partnering with the store leadership team.
- Complete all opening and closing procedures to company standards.
- Adhere to and enforce all local, federal, and state laws as well as company policies.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of retail sales experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, time management, and organization skills.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
