About the position

The Key Holder position at Party City is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the store is always ready for customers. Key Holders lead by example, fostering a fun and customer-obsessed environment while managing store operations such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and customer service interventions. This role is essential in creating memorable experiences for customers and supporting the overall team in achieving store goals.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including alarm activation and deactivation.
• Count and prepare tills for store opening and balance them at the end of the day.
• Prepare deposits and count the safe.
• Perform customer service interventions at registers, including price overrides, discounts, refunds, and exchanges.
• Act as Leader on Duty (LOD) when Store Team Leader or Team Leader is absent.
• Review and validate that Daily Party Plan tasks are completed when performing LOD functions.
• Solve customer-related issues while acting in the LOD role.
• Execute Emergency Response procedures as needed when acting in the LOD function.
• Receive freight and maintain receiving procedures.
• Prepare balloon orders for the next day.
• Recover and clean the store, including sales floor, counter, backroom, breakroom, bathroom, and office.
• Conduct daily scan audits and communicate via Party Central.
