About the position

The Key Holder at JOANN is responsible for delivering a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity and ensuring that JOANN is a happy place for customers. This role involves driving sales through advanced product knowledge, innovative merchandising, and operational duties such as opening and closing the store. The Key Holder also assists in leading the store team, providing excellent customer service, and creating an exceptional in-store experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a premium customer experience by greeting customers and using the F.A.S.T. service model.
• Engage with customers to understand their project needs and guide them to products.
• Process customer transactions efficiently at the cutting counter and cash register.
• Maintain high standards on the sales floor by cleaning and organizing shelves and handling returns.
• Invite customers to participate in store activities and proactively drive sales through product knowledge.
• Assist in minimizing shrink by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with store management to identify opportunities for business growth and increased sales.
• Assist in delegating tasks to team members and follow up to ensure completion.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer-centric environment.
• 2-3+ years of retail supervisory experience preferred.
