About the position

The Keyholder position at Gopuff involves managerial responsibilities, including opening and closing the store, providing excellent customer service, and supporting new employees. This role is crucial during high-volume periods and requires a strong understanding of BRS products to drive sales and maintain store operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of BRS products and services.
  • Arrive early to open the store and leave late to close the store.
  • Operate the alarm system, including setting and disarming.
  • Identify problems with working conditions and share with management.
  • Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Knowledge of BRS products to provide customers with recommendations.
  • Drive sales in all departments.
  • Replenish and maintain inventory.
  • Perform cashier functions and adhere to minor policy while completing customer transactions.
  • Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics.
  • Follow proper age verification policies.
  • Accept payments, such as cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide a customer receipt.
  • Process refunds and exchanges.
  • Balance register drawer.
  • Bag or box purchases to ensure safe transport.
  • Follow all BRS procedures regarding coupons and gift cards.
  • Maintain store safety standards.
  • Assist in maintaining standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms.
  • Assist in promotions and setup of events.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Assistant manager experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of retail sales experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires (nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of products and services
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive and engaging attitude and demeanor

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary for establishing customer and team relationships
