About the position

A loving family in Boston, MA is seeking a part-time to full-time live-out career nanny for their infant son, who will be 3 months old at the start of the position. The role is designed for someone who can provide a nurturing environment and grow with the family over the years. The position starts in January with a flexible schedule that will transition to full-time hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full childcare in a warm and loving environment for the infant.
  • Coordinate schedules for naps, meals, and activities.
  • Transport the child to activities, play dates, and outings as needed.
  • Wash and sanitize baby dishes, including bottles, and assist with child-related meal preparation.
  • Manage the tidiness and organization of the child's spaces and belongings.
  • Handle child-related laundry.

Requirements

  • Driver's license and clean driving record for eventual driving at their summer home; minimal driving in Boston (nanny car provided on duty).
  • Open and interested in traveling with the family during the summer and 1-2 trips during the year.
  • 5+ years of infant and toddler experience in a private home as a nanny.
  • Local to the Boston, MA area and commuting distance from the South End neighborhood.
  • Comfortable going up and down stairs throughout the day as the home is multi-level.
  • Professional/career nanny who knows how to maintain boundaries and navigate work-from-home parents.
  • Tech savvy (baby connect, calendar, etc.) and strong communication skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certifications (or be willing to update them ASAP).
  • Legal to work in the US.
  • Confident swimming skills.
  • No cat allergies as there is a cat in the home.

Nice-to-haves

  • Second language would be nice to have but not required.

Benefits

  • $30-40 per hour plus standard benefits.
