About the position

As a Sales Manager at KidStrong, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales for a designated territory of KidStrong centers. This position requires a deep understanding of the KidStrong brand and its curriculum to effectively meet and exceed sales goals, which are incentivized through a commission bonus structure. The Sales Manager must be highly focused on achieving sales targets and should be passionate about lead generation and follow-up. Maintaining flawless records of company-generated leads is essential, as is the commitment to building a robust lead pipeline through community engagement and self-generated partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for executing effective communication with the centers you support, ensuring that observations, trials, and new members receive a world-class experience as they begin their KidStrong journey. An exceptional Sales Manager will also foster strong relationships with families to drive retention and generate referrals. Flexibility in your schedule is crucial, as this is not a typical 9-to-5 job. You will be required to travel approximately 10% of the time for sales and marketing opportunities, while the remaining 90% will involve working directly in the centers, engaging with parents during classes, camps, birthday parties, and other events, as well as making a high volume of phone calls to potential members. The work schedule will consist of four weekdays and one weekend day, with specific hours tailored to the needs of the centers. For the first 90 days, in-person presence at one of the open locations is mandatory to ensure a thorough understanding of operations and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive membership sales through high-volume outbound phone calls on inbound leads (200+ calls/day is a typical outbound phone sales effort)
  • Properly manage and exceed all KidStrong sales and operational budgets
  • Oversee the sales process and systems, including experience with ZenPlanner, Sales Messenger, HubSpot, Google Sheets/Docs/Slides, and autodialer systems
  • Work closely with Operations Associate on seamless process for observations, trials, and enrollments
  • Respond and follow through in a timely manner with all KidStrong corporate/owner requests and client/lead requests
  • Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service beyond the sale to protect brand integrity
  • Create and implement quarterly community engagement plans to drive lead generation and support brand awareness
  • Proactively source partnerships and corporate sales opportunities
  • Attend team meetings as required and support center level initiatives such as center maintenance and trainings
  • Be trained and certified as a Coach to understand the monthly programming by coaching 1 class a week and being on call per operational need to coach class
  • Attend offsite community/marketing events 3 times a month

Requirements

  • Prior experience in outbound phone sales is strongly preferred (200+ calls/day is a typical outbound phone sales effort)
  • Strong sales mentality and comfortability with outbound sales efforts
  • Demonstrated urgency during promotional cycles to maximize return on ad spend
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with open, participative leadership style and drive for excellence
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor
  • Practical work experience using Microsoft Office Products
  • Prior CRM experience (Salesforce, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in health, fitness, or hospitality sales is strongly preferred
