About the position

The Kids Creative Director (KD) role at EastLake Community Church is a pivotal position focused on enhancing the EastLake Kids program. The KD will work closely with the Kids Pastor to infuse fun and energy into the ministry's rhythm, ensuring that the program resonates with the church's mission. This role involves planning and managing the EastLake Kids calendar, organizing extra events, and implementing momentum-building activities that engage children and their families. The KD will also provide leadership and administrative support as needed, particularly in managing communication within the team and the broader church community. In this capacity, the KD will be responsible for building the EastLake Kids brand and culture, ensuring that all activities align with the church's values. The role requires a proactive approach to event management, including the planning and execution of various events such as Blocktober, Family Connect Events, Welcome Christmas, Open Houses, and major holidays. The KD will recruit and lead an Event Team to facilitate these events, ensuring they are executed smoothly and effectively. The position is not merely about classroom management; rather, it involves overseeing the details and culture of the Kids program from a higher perspective, akin to a project manager. The KD will collaborate with various Kids Directors to create engaging experiences for children and their families, fostering a vibrant community within the church. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Help build the EastLake Kids brand and culture by adding fun and momentum into the existing Kids Calendar and within the larger EastLake Kids system.
• Help manage curriculum, calendar planning, and added activities along with the EastLake Kids team.
• Help plan, execute, and manage extra events that fit within EastLake Kids scope, such as Blocktober, Family Connect Events, Welcome Christmas, Open Houses, Leader Events, and major holidays/big days.
• Recruit and lead an Event Team to assist with events.
• Manage communication points within the EastLake Kids team and larger church.
• Serve as a team player on the Kids Team to help the team thrive.
• Act as a project manager to oversee details and culture at a high level, rather than managing a classroom directly.
• Create engaging and fun experiences for kids and their families.
