About the position

Kiehl's Since 1851, a renowned brand with a rich history as an old-world apothecary, is seeking a part-time Keyholder to join our team in Cerritos, California. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in achieving both store and individual sales goals. The Keyholder will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, fostering customer relationships that encourage repeat business, and ensuring that the store maintains a high standard of product and brand image presentation. The ideal candidate will execute both short and long-term plans that align with the store's business strategy, contributing to the overall success of Kiehl's. As a Keyholder, you will be expected to maintain regular attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts. You will assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets while also enforcing company policies and procedures. This role includes performing opening and closing procedures for the store, training new employees, and effectively executing visual directives and customer service standards. You will utilize available resources to eliminate roadblocks and drive process improvements, all while working under intermittent supervision. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Store Manager in achieving store sales goals in conjunction with reaching individual sales goals established by management team
  • Provide superior customer service standards and develop customer relationships that will result in repeat business
  • Execute short and long term plans to achieve goals in support of the store's business strategy
  • Responsible for product and brand image presentation while maintaining a neat and organized store
  • Regular attendance and timeliness for all scheduled shifts
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Perform open and close procedures for the store
  • Provide training to new store employees
  • Effectively execute visual directives, education selling tools and customer service standards
  • Utilize resources, eliminate roadblocks and drive process improvement

Requirements

  • 2+ years of specialty retail store experience
  • Working knowledge of store operation procedures
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Highly resourceful, flexible and ability to solve problems in a timely manner
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to work on your feet all day
  • Walk up and down a flight of stairs and/or ladder if necessary
  • Lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis
