About the position

The Environmental Manager at Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is responsible for leading and overseeing environmental management practices across various construction projects at the district level. This role ensures compliance with legal and contractual environmental requirements while contributing to the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility. Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental compliance efforts, processes, improvements, and new program implementations for the district.
  • Identify, assess, and reduce environmental risks to the company.
  • Develop and update environmental plans; develop and conduct environmental protection initiatives.
  • Perform and oversee field inspections.
  • Maintain project data tracking requirements.
  • Function as a principal technical advisor for environmental issues.
  • Identify, document, and develop corrective actions for environmental incidents.
  • Participate in project audits, both internal and external.
  • Prepare Kiewit required reports and communicate environmental risks to company management.
  • Review requirements and prepare proposals.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in an environmental science, engineering field, or related.
  • 10+ years' experience managing design and construction environmental compliance for large construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of DOE and commercial nuclear federal environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Highly motivated and self-managed to get things done right the first time.
  • Effective and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Share Point, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organization abilities and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Uncompromising attitude towards safety and integrity.
