About the position

Little Learner Children's Academy is seeking passionate and dedicated Kindergarten/Pre-K Teachers to join our team across multiple locations including Minooka, Crest Hill, Yorkville, Bolingbrook, and Naperville. In this role, Kindergarten Qualified Teachers will be responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of children. Teachers are expected to submit lesson plans to the Center Director at least one week in advance and actively participate in staff meetings, training, and workshops to ensure continuous professional and personal growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a personal commitment to their role and maintain an evident interest in the job, contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment. This position offers a competitive salary starting at $17 per hour, based on education and experience, with full-time hours from Monday to Friday, between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm. Responsibilities

  • Completing and submitting developmentally appropriate lesson plans to the Center Director at least 1 week in advance
  • Consistently demonstrating a personal commitment to professional and personal growth
  • Maintaining an evident interest in the job; actively participating in staff meetings, training, and workshops
  • Ensuring the program cultivates the age-appropriate social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of children

Requirements

  • Classroom teaching experience working with Kindergarten-1st grade
  • Teacher qualifications from the state of Illinois per DCFS Standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility (preferred)
  • Flexibility around hours and work schedule
  • A passion for working with children
