About the position
We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten teacher to join our team at Van Houston Academy starting in October 2024 and continuing through the entire school year. As an accredited private school, we pride ourselves on creating a fun and engaging learning environment where both students and teachers feel valued and treated like family. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of young learners. You will create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and fosters a love for learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elementary education, with at least two years of experience in classroom management and teaching. You will work closely with students to help them achieve their academic goals while also promoting social and emotional development. The position requires a commitment to working full-time, with hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This is an in-person role, and we are looking for someone who is not only skilled in teaching but also dedicated to building strong relationships with students and their families. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for kindergarten students.

- Maintain classroom management and discipline.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Required).
- At least 2 years of experience in elementary education (Required).
- At least 2 years of experience in classroom management (Required).
- Valid Teaching Certification license (Required).
- Valid ESL Certification (Preferred).
