About the position

BASIS Austin is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our passionate team for the 2024-2025 School Year. This role is essential in providing a high-quality education that meets rigorous international standards, focusing on both academic and social growth of students.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating students' academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records, and preparing progress reports.
• Communicating with parents via email, conferences, and other means to discuss student progress.
• Identifying student needs and cooperating with Subject Experts or other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Providing differentiated instruction and executing IEP's and 504 Plans with fidelity.
• Substituting/duty coverage as needed.
• Supervising students during classroom transitions throughout the day.
• Occasionally representing BASIS Ed Texas at designated school-wide community events outside of typical school hours.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools.
• A Bachelor's degree in Education or related subject.
• Ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.

Nice-to-haves

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an elementary educator.
• Master's degree in Education or related subject.
