STREAM EARLY LEARNING CENTER & ACADEMY is seeking a dynamic and passionate Kindergarten General Studies Teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The STREAM School strives to provide an extraordinary joyful and wonder-based educational experience for children, mindfully partnering with parents to facilitate the social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional, and spiritual development of every child and family. Through innovative pedagogical programs and interdisciplinary project-based learning (PBL), students are provided the opportunity to develop self-confidence and self-awareness, enhance their academic skills and creative capabilities, and build their individual Jewish identity in a caring environment preparing each child for success in the 21st-century. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will demonstrate a commitment to developing pedagogical practice, which includes differentiation of instruction, classroom management, and the development of curriculum utilizing interdisciplinary project-based learning aligned to CCLS and NGLS Standards. You will create a classroom environment that encourages social-emotional learning and builds a community of learners. Utilizing a variety of instructional groupings, including whole group, small group, and one-on-one instruction, you will meet the diverse needs of your students. Additionally, you will be responsible for the collection and analysis of student data to drive instruction and provide differentiated instruction based on student strengths and needs. The ideal candidate will be creative, thoughtful, self-reflective, a problem solver, and a lifelong learner. You will be expected to collaborate with partner teachers and across disciplines to create meaningful, engaging, and real-world learning experiences for students. Strong classroom management skills rooted in positive discipline and responsive classroom practices are essential, as well as strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills to foster a positive environment and relationships with students, parents, and the school leadership team.
