About the position

Blackfoot Charter Community Learning Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. As a mid-sized school with a student body of 400, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and positive learning environment. Our new facility, built in 2023, is equipped with modern amenities and is located in a region that offers abundant outdoor opportunities. We are conveniently situated near Idaho Falls and Pocatello, making it easy for staff and families to access larger city resources. Our school operates on a four-day school week, allowing for one Friday each month dedicated to staff development, planning, and team building. This structure not only promotes a healthy work-life balance but also fosters a collaborative atmosphere among our educators. The Kindergarten Teacher will play a crucial role in providing an elementary education program that helps students develop essential skills, attitudes, and knowledge for their continued education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching methods and effective classroom management, as well as a commitment to promoting academic, social, and citizenship development among students. We value accountability, positive support, and kindness in our interactions with students, staff, and the community. Our students embody the Knights Oath, which emphasizes Ownership, Attitude, Teamwork, and Honor, and we strive to instill these values in our educational practices. In this role, the teacher will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging lessons, analyzing student data to inform instruction, and implementing the Idaho Core Standards. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities to enhance student academic success and will be expected to maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth. Strong communication skills, data analysis capabilities, and knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are essential for this position.
