About the position

The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for delivering the Common Core State Standards and the SBCSC curriculum in a differentiated learning environment. This role requires a highly qualified and Indiana State certified teacher with a Kindergarten Endorsement, focusing on individual student needs and assessing their growth while maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Fully implement the kindergarten curriculum using corporation provided instructional resources.
• Plan lessons and provide instruction, support, and guidance to students.
• Manage the learning process and focus on students' individual needs.
• Assess student growth and maintain required student records.
• Maintain a safe classroom and appropriate classroom management.
• Make parent contact as necessary to advance each child's learning.
• Utilize SBCSC technology as required.
• Engage students in the learning process using a variety of teaching strategies.
• Structure the classroom environment to maintain student interest and engagement.
• Attend and participate in required staff meetings and staff development.
• Collaborate with the grade level team.

Requirements

• Indiana State certification with a Kindergarten Endorsement.
• Highly Qualified status as a teacher.
