About the position

The educator will strive to maximize educational achievement by employing a variety of learning modalities and differentiated instruction, frequently assessing student learning and addressing individual needs through appropriate activities. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the educator will create a classroom environment that is safe, clean, and conducive to learning, demonstrating patience and nurturing to support student growth. The role also involves developing reasonable classroom behavior rules, maintaining order, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies. The educator will participate in curriculum planning, assist in the selection of instructional materials, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians to foster cooperative relationships. Participation in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture is also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a flexible program and classroom environment favorable to student learning and personal growth.
  • Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and the company's educational philosophy.
  • Establish effective rapport with students, staff members, and parents.
  • Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for an effective educational foundation.
  • Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the company's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  • Make purposeful and appropriate lesson plans that maximize teaching strategies and time on task.
  • Present subject matter to students to maximize learning opportunities and provide real-world applications.
  • Review student records to understand each student's abilities and needs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records.
  • Utilize a variety of student learning modalities and differentiated instruction in lessons.
  • Conduct frequent diagnostic assessments of student learning.
  • Assess student strengths and weaknesses and provide appropriate activities to address needs.
  • Refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel.
  • Assign lessons, correct student work, and review oral presentations.
  • Coordinate class field trips as required.
  • Prepare students for state-required achievement assessments.
  • Stay current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory.
  • Assist in the ongoing curriculum revision process and selection of instructional materials.
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
  • Implement policies governing student conduct and develop classroom behavior rules.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with parents and guardians.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
  • Possession of valid teaching certification (as appropriate).
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years successful teaching experience (may include Student Teaching Internship experience).
  • Command of grades/subject specific content and theoretical knowledge of learning theory, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques.
  • Understanding of and commitment to company values.
  • Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
  • Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.
  • Adherence to the requirements of the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.
