About the position

King & George, LLC is seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Director to lead our human resources department. The HR Director will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives and foster a positive workplace culture. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of HR practices, and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization. The HR Director will play a crucial role in shaping the HR function and ensuring that it supports the overall mission and vision of the company. In this position, the HR Director will develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's overall business goals and objectives. This includes providing guidance and leadership to the HR team, ensuring effective delivery of HR services and initiatives, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and retention. The HR Director will oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent, and will implement talent development programs, including training, mentoring, and career progression opportunities. The HR Director will also serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. This role involves handling complex employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions with a focus on resolution and fairness. Additionally, the HR Director will oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs, conducting market research and analysis to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures. Furthermore, the HR Director will develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with best practices and legal requirements, oversee HR information systems (HRIS), and lead HR-related projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion efforts and organizational development programs. The HR Director will partner with senior leadership to identify and address organizational needs and challenges, support change management efforts, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions with a focus on resolution and fairness.
  • Oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
  • Manage benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Oversee HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure accurate and confidential maintenance of employee records.
  • Lead HR-related projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion efforts and organizational development programs.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify and address organizational needs and challenges.
  • Support change management efforts and organizational restructuring as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing HR in a government contracting environment, including knowledge of SCA and CBA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and experience with system enhancements and optimizations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
