About the position
The Kit Assembler position involves working in the Automated KIT Production department to build kits for clinical trials, sample collection, and COVID testing. Employees will be trained across multiple stations, performing various tasks that require attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role includes standing for long shifts and requires physical stamina and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Train and work in the 'Kit Cell' for the first 2-3 weeks, standing for 12-hour shifts.
- Pick items from bins as directed by a computer and pack them into a box.
- Carefully label and place completed boxes onto a rolling conveyor for packing.
- Work in 'Popular Pick', a standing job with a rotating wall of bins that spin to present the correct bin.
- Sit near the labeling line packing instruction manuals or in a cubicle-like chair building small batch custom orders by hand.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Cross-train on 5-6 jobs across the automation department over time.
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts
- Basic computer skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high production environment
- Ability to lift 25 lbs (team lifting for weights above 50 lbs)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in healthcare assembly, production, packaging, and inspection
- Familiarity with warehouse environments, inventory stock, and RF scan guns
- General labor and assembly line experience
