As a Kitchen & Bath Designer, you will follow the Norfolk Design & Sales Process to ensure a consistent and exceptional customer experience. You will collaborate closely with the showroom team and coordinate with other support teams, such as delivery, construction, and customer service. Your role will involve creating customized and functional designs for kitchens and baths, utilizing precise measurement skills to ensure a proper fit. You will strive to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin goals while building and nurturing enduring relationships with homeowner and builder clients. Staying informed about the latest design trends and industry changes by actively participating in training sessions and events will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the Norfolk Design & Sales Process to ensure a consistent and exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the showroom team and coordinate with other support teams, such as delivery, construction, and customer service.
  • Create customized and functional designs for kitchens and baths, utilizing precise measurement skills to ensure a proper fit.
  • Strive to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin goals.
  • Build and nurture enduring relationships with homeowner and builder clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest design trends and industry changes by actively participating in training sessions and events.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of cabinetry construction and design planning.
  • Proficiency in design software such as 20/20 or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of trends & materials, color, finishes.
  • Clear, professional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems from design to installation.
  • Ability to foster a team environment, motivate and teach.
  • Aptitude for calculations (measurements, gross profit).
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Calendar, Word, Excel and working within a shared folder setup.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including some weekends (Saturdays).
  • 3+ years in relationship-based sales, preferably in kitchen and bath design.
  • Track record of meeting sales goals and contributing to team success.
  • Knowledge of interior design and building materials is beneficial.
