About the position

The Kitchen Assistant position at Yellowstone General Stores involves ensuring the health and safety of guests through exceptional cleanliness standards in the kitchen and food service areas. This seasonal role offers the opportunity to work in the beautiful setting of Yellowstone National Park, contributing to memorable guest experiences while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Using hands or a dishwasher to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, ensuring all sanitizer levels on dish machines and pot sinks meet health standards and regulations.
• Storing clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Assisting in food preparation as needed while adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assisting in buffet set-up and break down, serving and replenishing food.
• Cleaning the work area including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area, keeping the kitchen wares storage organized.
• Removing trash from the dish room and transporting it to the dumpster, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the garbage cans.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Capacity to work cooperatively with others.
• No experience required.
