About the position

The Kitchen Associate position at Pyramid Healthcare involves providing dietary assistance in a supportive environment for individuals undergoing treatment for substance use and mental health disorders. The role focuses on meal preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, contributing to the overall recovery journey of clients.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established department policies and procedures.
• Assists with preparing and serving meals following established food safety standards and guidelines.
• Serves meals in accordance with established portion and quality standards.
• Performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment according to established procedures and returns them to storage areas.
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
• Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of food service work areas, dish room, and storage areas.
• Sweeps and mops floors as assigned.
• Restocks food, beverages, and supplies for meal service.
• Assists in the receiving, rotating, and storage of food and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to operate kitchen equipment preferred.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
