About the position

The Kitchen Designer/Sales position at The Kitchen Studio by United Wholesale Supply involves working closely with clients to design and sell kitchen and bath renovations. The role requires a strong understanding of home improvement and design principles, as well as excellent communication skills to manage customer interactions and project details effectively. The designer will be responsible for creating cabinetry designs, preparing sales proposals, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer calls and walk-ins to the showroom
• Respond to phone and internet sales leads
• Meet with potential clients regarding their projects
• Take job site measurements
• Prepare initial cabinetry designs and other material selections
• Prepare sales proposals and present them to clients
• Close sales and collect project deposits
• Meet clients at job sites for follow-up meetings
• Place and acknowledge orders
• Contribute to other administrative showroom duties as needed

Requirements

• Passion for home improvement and design
• Strong understanding of home improvement and design principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and projects
• Demonstrated proficiency in interior design principles and practices, equivalent to a bachelor's degree or certificate in interior design, architecture, or a related field
