About the position

As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of food served in the restaurant. This position involves preparing delicious food, training future leaders, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. You will be responsible for monitoring food quality, managing inventory, and fostering teamwork among crew members to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to order, ensuring quality and adherence to kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, addressing any food quality issues that arise.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house crew members.
• Develop crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders through training and mentorship.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and customers to ensure excellent service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
• Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained and repaired promptly when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents in the kitchen.
• Complete Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and manage inventory rotation (FIFO).

Requirements

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Knowledge of the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous restaurant experience.
