About The Position
We are hiring for a Part-Time Dining Server/Dishwasher at Summerset Senior Living in Rancho Cordova, CA. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while serving beverages and meals to patrons seated at tables in the dining room(s) located in our communities. The ideal candidate must have a flexible schedule to accommodate various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. As a Kitchen Server, you will contribute to a positive dining experience for our residents by ensuring that meals are served promptly and with the highest level of customer service. You will be expected to take beverage and meal orders, collect orders from the kitchen, and serve them to patrons with appropriate garnishes, napkins, and condiments. Additionally, you will compute bills and respond appropriately to changes in the work setting, demonstrating a willingness to help other staff when needed. In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining awareness of sanitation regulations in handling and storing food, as well as adhering to safety rules in the kitchen. You will need to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and demonstrate a positive attitude while working with all individuals, particularly the elderly. The position requires mental alertness, attention, and concentration, as well as the ability to adapt to situations requiring precise attainment of set limits, tolerances, or standards. You will regularly be required to sit, talk, listen, stand, stoop, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and push up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. You must possess adequate physical stamina to move freely about the community and assist residents where needed, including in emergency situations.
