About the position

Wandering Vine at the Castle is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher to join our exceptional culinary team. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our kitchen, as the Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. The primary duties include washing and putting away dishes and kitchen equipment, managing food ingredients by putting them away and retrieving them as needed, removing garbage, and ensuring that floors and equipment are kept clean and sanitized. This position is perfect for individuals with prior experience in a kitchen setting or those looking to start their culinary career in a supportive environment. As a Kitchen Steward, you will be expected to adhere to strict sanitation procedures and safety requirements, ensuring that all kitchen operations comply with health regulations. A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team are essential for success in this role. You will need to demonstrate flexibility in your schedule, as the position requires availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Good communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary to effectively interact with coworkers and contribute to a harmonious work environment. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15 to $18, depending on experience. The expected hours of work will be between 32 to 45 hours per week, and you will be required to report to work on time, dressed in compliance with the company’s dress code policy. Responsibilities
