About the position

The Supply Chain Analyst position at Klein Tools is part of an accelerated program aimed at developing individuals for a successful career in Supply Chain. This role involves engaging in various supply chain functions such as purchasing, vendor management, and strategic sourcing, with the goal of improving operations across key supply chain areas. The analyst will work on optimizing product forecasts, managing supplier relationships, and conducting analyses to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the internal planning team to optimize product forecast and monitor inventory levels.
  • Participate in business reviews with key strategic suppliers to assist with supplier improvement and performance.
  • Recruit, maintain, and manage world-class suppliers focusing on total cost of ownership improvement.
  • Perform moderately complex analysis of information and conduct routine supplier assessments.
  • Track, monitor, and measure the benefits of implemented solutions for moderately complex issues.
  • Communicate perceived risks to leadership and work to mitigate them through strategic projects.
  • Develop root cause analysis, gap analysis, and distribute moderately complex reports.
  • Build productive internal/external working relationships to work collaboratively.
  • Optimize cost for assigned products through cost reduction and margin improvement.
  • Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

Requirements

  • Must possess or be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain or related field with a completion date within the next year.
  • Internship or co-op experience related to your field of study is preferred.
  • Master's degree and one (1) year of related experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to perform intermediate level mathematics and financial calculations.
  • Must be an effective team player that takes initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multitask, manage shifting priorities, and work independently to completion of tasks and deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supply chain management or related fields.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and strategic sourcing.
