About the position

ARES Corporation is seeking a Senior Business Specialist IV to support NASA's Kennedy Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program. This role involves executing senior analytical business functions, including financial and business analysis, project management, and compliance with government cost reporting requirements. The position requires expertise in management analysis, financial analysis, and project planning, and may involve leading the efforts of others.

Responsibilities

  • Support reporting on all KLXS III subcontracted work.
  • Provide Monthly Status Report & Quarterly Status Presentations.
  • Provide Small Business Data Reporting.
  • Develop, implement, update, and maintain a flexible contract financial system for compliance with government requirements.
  • Support with Wage/Salary and Fringe Benefit Data.
  • Conduct monthly Contractor Financial Management Analysis and submit NASA Form (NF) 533M.
  • Provide support for Monthly Financial Management Report.
  • Assist in developing and submitting financial planning consistent with Program budget schedules.
  • Perform cost analysis and financial management services for NASA and EGS.
  • Track planned vs. actual expenditures and perform budget formulation and execution.
  • Provide integrated Program cost and schedule assessment reports incorporating EVM.
  • Support the development of cost risks and threats, and basis of estimates.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and assessments such as parametric cost estimates and trade studies.
  • Review programmatic Change Requests (CRs) for life-cycle cost impacts.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least 11 years of specialized experience in management analysis, financial analysis, and budget preparation.
  • Expertise in cost/schedule analysis and business process reengineering.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning, project planning, and quality control.
  • Master of Science (MS) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) in business or math.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical background in the aerospace industry.
  • Detailed understanding of Budgets, Metrics, EVM, Program/Project Lifecycle, and Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Preferred experience with Active Risk Manager (ARM), SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations.
