About the position

The Knowledge Based Systems Senior Program Manager (PM3) at AMERICAN SYSTEMS is a mission-driven role focused on providing senior-level program management leadership in the acquisition of engineering and technical Knowledge Based Services (KBS) for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD). This position requires an active Secret clearance and approximately 20 years of experience in program or project management, particularly within Navy engineering programs. The role emphasizes collaboration with a skilled team to support various naval architecture and engineering projects, ensuring the successful execution of research, design, development, and operational assessments of various maritime platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide Senior Level PM leadership in acquisition of engineering and technical Knowledge Based Services (KBS) in support of NSWCCD.
• Support the Naval Architecture and Engineering Department (Code 80) in research, engineering, and naval architecture on various maritime platforms.
• Lead programmatic and project duties including project management, electronic document library management, and programmatic support.
• Oversee research and development support, hydrodynamics and aerodynamics engineering support, and systems engineering support.
• Manage design documentation and technical data support, as well as testing and evaluation support.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Approximately twenty (20) years of verifiable program or project management experience in Navy engineering programs.
