About the position

The Knowledge Graph/Data Engineering Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is responsible for leading a team that addresses complex business issues related to data governance and management. This role involves developing and implementing data governance strategies, managing projects, and ensuring effective information management practices to mitigate risks and maximize the value of information assets. The manager will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions in the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage data governance projects, defining strategy and roadmap, operating model, policies, and tool design.
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies and practices in an enterprise setting.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build meaningful recommendations.
  • Coach team members and encourage ownership of their development.
  • Manage business development opportunities from pre-sale to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in knowledge graph technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance and management.
  • Proven experience in leading data governance projects and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with data analysis and enterprise metadata management.
  • Proficiency in RDF, OWL, and SPARQL standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ontology modeling and semantic web technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of machine learning and natural language processing techniques.
