About the position

The Knowledge Graph/Data Engineering Manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) is responsible for leading a team that addresses complex business issues related to data governance and management. This role involves developing and implementing data governance strategies, managing projects, and ensuring effective information management practices to protect client data. The manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance their data capabilities while navigating legal and regulatory challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage data governance projects, defining strategy and roadmap, operating model, policies/standards, and tool design.
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies and practices in an enterprise setting.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build meaningful recommendations.
  • Coach team members and encourage ownership of their development.
  • Manage business development opportunities from pre-sale to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in knowledge graph technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance and management.
  • Extensive experience with data governance strategy, architecture, and technology implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of RDF, OWL, and SPARQL standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and enterprise metadata management.
  • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and natural language processing techniques.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java.
