About the position

The Knowledge Graph / Data Engineering Manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) is responsible for leading a team that addresses complex business issues related to data governance and management. This role involves developing and implementing data governance strategies, managing projects, and ensuring effective information management practices to protect client data. The manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions while fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage data governance projects, defining strategy and roadmap, operating model, policies, and tool design.
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies and practices in an enterprise setting.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build meaningful recommendations.
  • Coach team members and encourage ownership of their development.
  • Manage project planning, engagement administration, and budget management.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in knowledge graph technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance and management.
  • Proven experience in leading data governance projects and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices.
  • Experience with data analysis and enterprise metadata management.
  • Proficiency in RDF, OWL, SPARQL, and related technologies.
  • Experience with ETL solutions and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and natural language processing techniques.
  • Experience with ontology modeling and semantic web technologies.
