About the position

The Knowledge Manager position at Valiant Government Services involves leading a team responsible for implementing knowledge management processes and IT solutions to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration within the organization. The role requires a strong understanding of knowledge management tools and strategies, as well as the ability to train staff and maintain documentation related to knowledge management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the MTC Knowledge Management team, translating organizational vision into KM processes supported by IT solutions.
  • Work with MTC staff to define KM strategy and implement initiatives that promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Research knowledge management tools and trends to improve information sharing efficiencies.
  • Conduct knowledge management training for contractor and government staff.
  • Update and maintain a detailed knowledge management SOP leveraging developed KM approaches.
  • Maintain and archive MCTC historical data.
  • Monitor client feedback and assessment survey results.
  • Manage access to government sensitive data and represent the government at meetings and conferences.
  • Provide direction to KM team members, including task assignment and progress monitoring.
  • Ensure processes are accessible via the MCTCnet website, managing permissions and access procedures.
  • Define and implement effective metrics and reporting to reflect the value of implemented solutions.
  • Coordinate migration to Point 2016 at government direction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Point Administrator or Knowledge Manager.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with Microsoft Point 2010, 2013 or 2016.
  • Proven proficiency with Point workflows, lists, forms, document libraries, and search.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripts for automating tasks and configuration of Point environment.
  • Ability to work with little supervision in fast-paced dynamic environments and supervise IT assistants.
  • Experience in Army operations and training environments preferred.
