About the position

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Senior Knowledge Manager to join our team in Alexandria, VA. This position is critical in establishing and maintaining a robust knowledge management system that fosters a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative workflows across various programs. The Senior Knowledge Manager will ensure that the right knowledge is disseminated to the appropriate stakeholders, enabling timely application of information to business activities. This role involves capturing new knowledge through the knowledge management system and monitoring progress and learning processes by tracking engagement, project outcomes, and other relevant metrics. In this position, you will provide essential coaching, training, and support to promote a knowledge management culture within the organization. You will coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that program needs are identified and met effectively. Additionally, you will confer with program managers to offer technical advice and assist in problem resolution as necessary. Your efforts will ensure that programs are coordinated efficiently, utilizing the best available resources. You will also support and advise government program management on integration across a full spectrum of interfaces, contributing to the overall success of SPA's mission in national security.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a knowledge management system.
  • Encourage a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative workflow among programs.
  • Ensure that the right knowledge goes to the right people and is promptly applied to business activities.
  • Capture new knowledge using the knowledge management system.
  • Monitor progress and learning processes by tracking engagement, project outcomes, and other metrics.
  • Provide relevant coaching, training, and support to champion a knowledge management culture.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to verify program needs are identified to meet project goals.
  • Confer with program managers to provide technical advice and assist with problem resolution as needed.
  • Ensure programs are properly coordinated and efficiently accomplished with the best available resources.
  • Support and advise government program management on integration across the full spectrum of interfaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10+ years of general Knowledge Management experience
  • 4+ years of Process Improvement, Process Documentation, and Process Analysis
  • 3+ years of Technical Writing experience
  • Certified Knowledge Manager Certification (Knowledge Management Institute)
  • Experience with JIRA, MS Project, and/or SmartSheet
  • TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
