About the position

The Knowledge Manager position at Valiant Integrated Services is a full-time exempt role that plays a crucial part in supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). This position is primarily focused on providing Knowledge Management (KM) support for the Program Management Office, specifically in collaboration with the Task Order Manager. The Knowledge Manager will be responsible for maintaining the MCTSP Program Management Resource Tool (PMRT), which includes overseeing access, content management, change management, archiving, and the creation of an easily searchable and retrievable information repository. In this role, the Knowledge Manager will assist the Program Manager (PM) and the Mission Training Complex (MTC) Commanders with content management on the Global Knowledge Network (GKN) SharePoint portal. This involves ensuring that information is effectively shared and collaborated upon, which is essential for enhancing decision-making processes among team members. The Knowledge Manager will also provide portal service management and front-end development, ensuring that the SharePoint environment is user-friendly and efficient. Additionally, the Knowledge Manager will assist in the implementation and enforcement of data governance, information management, and security rules, which are critical for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the information handled. The role includes providing direction, priorities, and guidance to the Management Information Systems (MIS) Administrator, as well as planning, preparing, and executing Monthly KM Working Group meetings. The Knowledge Manager will report directly to the Assistant Task Order Manager, ensuring that all KM activities align with the overall objectives of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the MCTSP PMRT including access, content management, change management, archiving, and creating an information repository that is easily searchable and retrievable.
  • Assist the PM and MTC Commanders with content management on the GKN SharePoint portal.
  • Ensure effective sharing and collaboration of information to enhance decision-making among team members.
  • Provide portal service management and front-end development.
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of data governance, information management, and security rules.
  • Provide direction, priorities, and guidance to the MIS Administrator.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute Monthly KM Working Group meetings.

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience working in the Microsoft SharePoint environment or similar web-based collaboration software tools.
  • 3 years' experience in designing and implementing web design, collaboration tools, and content management.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred, or an Associate's degree with 5 years' experience.
