About the position

The Knowledge Manager at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge management system that fosters a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration across various programs. This position is crucial for ensuring that the right knowledge is disseminated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner, thereby enhancing business activities and decision-making processes. The Knowledge Manager will be responsible for capturing new knowledge through the implementation of effective knowledge management practices and systems, while also monitoring engagement and project outcomes to assess the effectiveness of these initiatives. In this role, the Knowledge Manager will provide coaching, training, and support to promote a knowledge management culture within the organization. This includes coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to identify program needs and ensure that project goals are met efficiently. The Knowledge Manager will also work closely with program managers to offer technical advice and assist in problem resolution, ensuring that programs are well-coordinated and utilize the best available resources. Additionally, the Knowledge Manager will support and advise government program management on integration across various interfaces, contributing to the overall success of SPA's mission in national security. Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a knowledge management system.
  • Encourage a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative workflow among programs.
  • Ensure that the right knowledge goes to the right people and is promptly applied to business activities.
  • Capture new knowledge using a knowledge management system.
  • Monitor progress and learning processes by tracking engagement, project outcomes, and other metrics.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to champion a knowledge management culture.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to verify program needs are identified to meet project goals.
  • Confer with program managers to provide technical advice and assist with problem resolution as needed.
  • Ensure programs are properly coordinated and efficiently accomplished with the best available resources.
  • Support and advise Government program management on integration across a full spectrum of interfaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10+ years of general Knowledge Management experience
  • 4+ years of Process Improvement, Process Documentation, and Process Analysis experience
  • 3+ years of Technical Writing experience
  • Certified Knowledge Manager Certification (Knowledge Management Institute)
  • Experience with JIRA, MS Project, and/or SmartSheet is desired
  • TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
