About the position

The Knowledgebase Manager position at Vertiv is designed for a self-driven individual who thrives in a technically focused environment. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop item master details for power distribution equipment, specifically for the Americas market. The successful candidate will engage in problem-solving and will be responsible for ensuring the configurator meets the needs of the Switchboard and Switchgear business.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the R&D team for AMER (UL) switchboard and switchgear design.
• Develop item master level detail to feed Vertiv's configurator Oracle Cloud CPQ.
• Utilize the item master to create a bridge to the sales BOM for the configurator.
• Collaborate with the cost manager to associate configuration with functional costing for pricing.
• Own the master data fields in Oracle to feed both Sales and Engineering bills of material.
• Develop requirement specifications for the Oracle Cloud CPQ Team.
• Create and enable a service linkage to the product configurator with Vertiv Field Service.
• Work with the application engineering team to standardize configurations in the tool.
• Disable non-compliant configurations with order engineering.
• Gather feedback from Vertiv Sales on configurator performance and improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a related position involving design engineering and assembly of electrical power distribution equipment.
• Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
• Software experience is beneficial.
• Understanding of UL standards including UL 1558, UL 891, UL 489 & UL 1066.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude related to electrical control design.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-moving business environment.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and flexible approach to teamwork.
