About the position

The estate manager will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of a private residence in Fairfield County, CT. This full-time role requires a flexible schedule and a proactive approach to managing household staff, projects, and various tasks related to the estate's upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and overseeing renovations and projects
  • Being on-site for maintenance and vendors
  • Supervising household staff
  • Overseeing invoices
  • Managing house/staff manuals
  • Shopping for groceries and other household items
  • Running errands
  • Sorting mail and accepting packages and deliveries
  • Processing and shipping returns
  • Keeping up with car maintenance
  • Assisting with events such as dinners and parties

Requirements

  • Hands-on attitude with a 'no task is too big or too small' mindset
  • Ability to manage projects independently both inside and outside the estate
  • Knowledge of estimates and invoices
  • Experience in tracking and managing project expenses
  • Strong negotiation skills on behalf of the principals
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and think ahead
  • COVID vaccine required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Local to the area
  • Reliable list of contacts and vendors
  • Experience in a similar role

Benefits

  • Compensation ranges from $120-$200k based on experience and schedule
