About the position

As the People Operations Lead at Crowe, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the HR landscape of our organization. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who is ready to take full ownership of our people operations function. You will be responsible for developing and refining HR processes, implementing efficient systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your expertise will enhance our policies and procedures, optimize ongoing employee programs, and oversee the administration of compensation and benefits. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will have the opportunity to influence the employee experience and contribute to the overall success of the firm. In this role, you will manage and optimize our HR information systems (HRIS), specifically with Dayforce/Ceridian, and other technology platforms. You will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and offboarding. Your responsibilities will also include developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards and best practices, regularly reviewing and updating these policies as necessary. You will administer employee compensation, benefits, and retirement plans, ensuring that our offerings are competitive and aligned with our budget. This includes managing all aspects of benefits administration and developing strategies to enhance employee awareness and understanding of our benefit programs. You will work closely with our broker and their benefits administration group to ensure responsiveness and resolution of employee benefits issues. Staying updated on employment laws and regulations will be crucial, as you will ensure that the company's HR practices are compliant. You will support regulatory compliance filings or audits as needed, including Multiple Worksite Reporting, EEO-1, CA Pay Data, SOC II, and HR/Payroll audits. Additionally, you will be the primary lead on immigration matters, collaborating with outside immigration counsel. Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records will be part of your responsibilities, utilizing HRIS systems for efficient data management and preparing regular HR reports. You will coordinate required trainings, including sexual harassment prevention, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes company culture and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance of HR practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in HR operations or a similar role, with a track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience with HRIS systems such as Dayforce/Ceridian, Workday, and Applicant tracking recruiting systems.
  • Self-starter with a natural tendency to take initiative and work independently.
