About the position

Kona Ice is seeking motivated and responsible individuals to join our team as drivers. This role involves providing excellent customer service while operating a mobile Kona Ice truck at various events across San Diego. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as drivers will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. This is a fun and dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, and employees will have the opportunity to engage with the community and participate in local events.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and serving customers with consistent positivity & enthusiasm
• Comfortably driving the Kona Ice truck to and from events
• Taking orders with speed and accuracy
• Closely following sanitation and food safety procedures
• Performing basic cleaning of units/warehouse
• Accepting payments and operating square point of sale
• Completing beginning & end-of-shift prepping, stocking and event tracking duties
• Cleaning and performing minor maintenance on vehicles
• Carrying out all instructions given by the management team

Requirements

• Great driving record
• Capable of lifting 25 lbs overhead
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Honest, trustworthy, and dependable
• Punctual availability on weekends, nights, and holidays
