About the position

The Korean Bilingual Software Tester position in Plano, TX, is primarily focused on ensuring the quality and functionality of mobile products post-launch. The role requires a bilingual individual proficient in both English and Korean, who can effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including internal teams, client carriers, and customers. The main responsibilities include troubleshooting mobile quality issues, analyzing data from multiple streams such as Carrier, VOC, Supply Chain, Customer Care, B2B, and Network Performance. The tester will provide technical support to client carriers' marketing and engineering personnel regarding issues reported from the market, and will be responsible for performing both stationary and field tests to reproduce issues. In addition to troubleshooting, the role involves tracking, collecting, and analyzing network KPIs and other quality data, especially in cases of major reported issues. The candidate will also manage master data, which includes creation, updates, and deletions. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience in the wireless industry, particularly in Mobile QA or Mobile testing. Familiarity with LTE and IMS/VoLTE Protocols, as well as knowledge of Android infrastructure, is essential. The candidate should also have programming skills in Python, C++, and Java, and be capable of writing and reviewing test cases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, as the role involves extracting actionable insights from complex datasets and performing root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Devises sampling procedures and designs forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
• Writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
• Specializes in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
• Tackles mobile quality issues from various streams including data from Carrier, VOC, Supply Chain, Customer Care, B2B, and Network Performance.
• Provides technical support for client carriers' marketing and engineering personnel on issues reported from the market.
• Performs stationary and field tests of issue reproduction.
• Communicates with internal R&D, carriers, and customers for reported market issues and follows up.
• Tracks, collects, and analyzes network KPI and other quality data in case of major issues reported.
• Manages master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience required, preferably in the wireless industry with a focus on Mobile QA or Mobile testing.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing in both English and Korean is required.
• Troubleshooting skills in the mobile industry.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with LTE and IMS/VoLTE Protocols.
• Knowledge of Android infrastructure.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, and Java.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or predictive analytics is a plus.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, decision analysis, and establish process mapping is a plus.
