About the position

The Kubernetes Container Platform Support Operations Engineer (DevOps) role is a critical position within our organization, focusing on the support and operations of Kubernetes container platforms. This position requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in the field, particularly in building and maintaining container platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Redhat OpenShift (ARO) and proficiency in deploying and supporting Kubernetes on at least one public Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) provider, such as Azure, Amazon, Google Cloud Platform, or Alibaba. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our container platforms. You will leverage your strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, and DNS, to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Your experience in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) APIs using tools like Swagger will be essential in automating and streamlining our operations. Additionally, you will work closely with virtual computing environments, understanding hypervisors and load balancing concepts. Familiarity with Identity Management, Access Management, and Certificate Management will be crucial as you manage access and security for our container platforms. The role also requires demonstrated competency in programming and scripting languages, with a preference for Go, Ansible, Terraform, and Python, to enhance our automation capabilities. You will be expected to have a solid understanding of DevOps practices, with hands-on experience in Automation and Continuous Integration using tools like Jenkins, Harness, RunDeck, GitLab, and GitHub. This position is onsite from day one in Berkeley Heights, NJ, and may require on-call support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain container platforms, specifically Azure Redhat OpenShift (ARO).

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in container platforms and DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Redhat OpenShift (ARO).
  • Proficiency in deploying and supporting Kubernetes on public IAAS providers.
  • Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, and DNS.
  • Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code APIs using Swagger.
  • Solid understanding of virtual computing environments and load balancing concepts.
  • Familiarity with Identity Management, Access Management, and Certificate Management.
  • Demonstrated competency in programming/scripting languages, preferably Go, Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems (Windows and Linux) and virtualization software (VMware).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and Automation/Continuous Integration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PAS/TAS, PKS/TKGI, GKE, IBM Redhat OpenShift, ROSA.
  • Experience with NSX, NSX-T, and Panorama.
  • Familiarity with Vsphere7 and TKG.
