About the position

The Kubernetes DevOps Engineer at Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems division is responsible for providing technical support and engineering solutions in a fast-paced cyber security environment. This role involves troubleshooting system failures, restoring operational capabilities, and integrating systems with enterprise infrastructures. The engineer will work closely with cybersecurity experts to protect critical networks and ensure the security of vital information and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering Tier 3 support by troubleshooting system failures or degradations
• Restore equipment to full operational capabilities
• Provide 24/7 call in support for operational system critical discrepancies
• Integrate, test, and optimize systems with enterprise infrastructures, services, and databases
• Develop technical documentation
• Provide technical services assistance to government engineers in the creation, updating and management of system product line standards and databases

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Twelve years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps
• Recent experience within the last three years in Kubernetes
• Recent experience within the last three years using containerization
• Recent experience within the last three years in cluster orchestration
• Active security clearance with a polygraph
