About the position

The Kubernetes DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, specifically within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires extensive experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Kubernetes and related technologies, to ensure efficient application integration and management. The position emphasizes strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters and related services.
• Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices with tools like Terraform.
• Integrate and manage applications within GCP.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation using Python and Shell scripting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure cloud security best practices are followed.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• 7+ years of experience specifically on GCP.
• Strong experience with Linux and Shell scripting.
• Proficiency in GCP Containers, particularly Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• GCP Certified Professional certification.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure resources and concepts such as VPCs, Subnets, and Firewalls in GCP.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud security practices.
• Hands-on experience in scripting/programming languages like Python and Shell scripting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
