About the position

The Kubernetes DevOps Engineer role focuses on leveraging strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure. This position requires extensive experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Kubernetes and GCP services, to ensure efficient deployment and management of applications in a cloud environment. The role is primarily remote but requires occasional onsite presence for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud resources.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure and application integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment of applications.
• Utilize scripting languages for automation and process improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• 7+ years of experience specifically on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong Linux and Shell scripting experience.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform Containers, especially Kubernetes.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform Application Integration/Management.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Google Cloud Platform Certified Professional certification.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure resources and concepts such as VPCs, Subnets, and Firewalls.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud security practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
