About the position

The Kubernetes DevOps/Private Cloud Engineer will be responsible for building a private cloud infrastructure similar to public cloud services like AWS or Azure. This role focuses on preparing new services for production and ensuring their operational readiness, with an urgent need to finalize the project by the end of Q1 2021.

Responsibilities

• Build a version of a public cloud for private use to develop and deploy new services.
• Prepare new services for production and ensure operational readiness.
• Deploy, tune, and debug applications running on Kubernetes.
• Operate applications running on Kubernetes at scale in a production environment.
• Configure and deploy monitoring and alerting for applications running on Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Experience deploying, tuning, and debugging applications running on Kubernetes.
• Experience operating applications running on Kubernetes at scale in a production environment.
• Experience configuring and deploying monitoring and alerting for applications running on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with services such as Ingress, Ingress Controller, and Network Policies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Istio, Envoy, Nginx, HAProxy, MetalLB, Helm, Rancher, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana.
