About the position

The KYC Review Analyst position focuses on conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) background investigations for commercial loan borrowers, ensuring compliance with credit policies, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and the USA Patriot Act. The role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Know Your Client (KYC) program, performing reviews on potential negative news alerts, and providing recommendations for onboarding new clients. The analyst will utilize various internal and external research tools to conduct thorough investigations and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) background investigations for commercial loan borrowers.
• Perform reviews and provide clearance on potential negative news alerts for new clients and during periodic client reviews.
• Conduct prospect client reviews and provide recommendations prior to onboarding prospects.
• Utilize internal bank systems and external research tools to investigate and prepare documentation.
• Perform timely investigations with well-reasoned and supported decision-making.
• Follow up with line colleagues for any missing or necessary information.
• Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years' experience in Banking Services, branch operations, risk management, or related function.
• 2 years' experience in BSA/AML compliance.
• 2 years' experience using Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of deposit and loan transactions.
• Good judgment and attention to detail.
• Internet savvy with knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
