About the position

La Michoacana Mobile is seeking a reliable bilingual Cashier/Prep to join our team in Buckeye, AZ. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and excellent customer service skills, working in a fun and family-oriented environment. This role involves preparing and serving ice cream treats, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of delicious ice cream treats and snacks to customers
• Prep, chop, and stock fruit and toppings for the day
• Operate and maintain the mobile ice cream truck in a clean and organized manner
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer
• Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers
• Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
• Assist with cleaning and closing duties at the end of each shift

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell and promote products effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Basic math skills for retail calculations
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
