About the position

The Lab Assistant/Data Clerk position is a critical role within the laboratory and pathology department, primarily focused on managing the flow of information and requests in a timely and efficient manner. This position operates from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with a requirement for weekend and holiday rotations, ensuring that laboratory operations continue smoothly outside of standard hours. The Lab Assistant/Data Clerk will be responsible for handling all incoming requests and outgoing reports, which are generated through the hospital's computer system (PCS) or the laboratory information system (LIS). This role is essential for maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication between various departments within the healthcare facility. Under the supervision of the laboratory administrative staff, the Lab Assistant/Data Clerk will be expected to perform a variety of tasks that include data entry, report generation, and the management of laboratory requests. Attention to detail is crucial, as the accuracy of the information processed can directly impact patient care and laboratory efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of laboratory operations and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and within designated timeframes. Responsibilities
