About the position

The Lab Desktop Engineer is responsible for providing hands-on support for pharmaceutical lab devices and instruments, ensuring seamless integration with desktop systems. This role requires strong desktop support experience, particularly in a pharmaceutical environment, and involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues while adhering to GxP and GMP processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for pharmaceutical lab devices and instruments.
• Deliver strong Windows desktop support to ensure optimal performance of lab systems.
• Assist in connecting medical instruments to desktop systems.
• Perform basic Linux OS tasks, including drive mapping and network checks.
• Ensure compliance with GxP and GMP processes in all support activities.
• Troubleshoot desktop hardware issues at L2+ level, specifically for Windows 10 and 7.
• Manage IT desktop support specifically for a pharmaceutical company.
• Support and maintain pharmaceutical equipment such as Taimo, Thermo Omnic TIR, Quant studio, and ChemStation.
• Maintain IT infrastructure components including antivirus, Active Directory, asset management, and Windows patching.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical lab devices and instruments.
• Strong experience in Windows desktop support.
• Exposure to medical instrument connections to desktops.
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS, including drive mapping and network checks.
• Understanding of GxP and GMP processes.
• Experience in desktop hardware troubleshooting at L2+ level, specifically for Windows 10 and 7.
• Experience in IT desktop support within a pharmaceutical company.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical equipment like Taimo, Thermo Omnic TIR, Quant studio, and ChemStation.
