About the position

The Wistar Institute is seeking a Research Assistant to support the laboratory of Dr. Yulia Nefedova, focusing on the biology of myeloid cells in cancer, particularly multiple myeloma. The role involves performing laboratory tasks and experiments to identify potential therapeutic targets, contributing to the advancement of research in cancer and immunology.

Responsibilities

• Processing tissue samples from patients
• Performing flow cytometry analysis
• Conducting qPCR
• Isolating cells from human and mouse tissues
• Maintaining basic mouse colonies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
• At least two years of laboratory experience
• Proficiency in flow cytometry
• Experience with qPCR
• Familiarity with tissue culture
• Some experience in handling laboratory animals (mice)
